Driving Lessons

Adria Driving School offers lessons in Galway City and surrounding areas, covering both driving test centres Westside and Carnmore providing training for category B students.

  • If your first category b learner permit was issued on/after April 4th 2011 you must take the EDT (Essential Driver Training) course.

The Essential Driver Training is a course of twelve one hour driving lessons. The EDT is mandatory training which need to be done with an approved driving instructor, aimed at improving road safety in Ireland.

Adria Driving School offer tuition also for full license holders who need to reassess their own skills: very nervous drivers, bad driving experience, motorway training, roundabouts or new to Galway city and county roads. We offer excellent, patient, quality and consistent tuition.

Passing the theory test is the first step to applying for your learner permit. Once you receive your learner permit you can commence EDT. You must wait 6 months from the issue date of your learner permit until you can apply for your driving test.

You must complete the 12 EDT and to be uploaded on the rsa.ie site before you will get a date for your driving test.
